A prototype engine in a rare H configuration.
The engine featured four blocks of 6 cylinders each and two superchargers. Due to sophisticated construction it did not enter production. This very rare engine layout was successfully applied only in the Napier Sabre engine, produced in Great Britain during World War II and used as powerplant of Hawker Typhoon and Tempest Mk V fighters.
