A rocket engine used to power the Henschel Hs 293 flying bomb, an example of a non-conventional powerplant system.

The uncommon feature of the engine was the abandonment of combustion (a so-called "cold rocket engine"). The fuel consisted of two components – water solution of calcium or potassium permanganate and 80% peroxide. The catalytic reaction of both components produced an enormous amount of water steam of 500°C (the so-called "cold chemical reaction").
