4-cylinder inline piston engine with cylinders grouped in two blocks with two cylinders each, designed and built by the Daimler–Motoren–Gesellschaft in Stuttgart as one of the first aircraft engines of that company. The cylinder blocks are of cast iron with integral water jacket. The pistons are forged of steel. The engine was used in the Rumpler Taube aircraft.
