The engine was designed by Robert Conrad and built by the Nationale Automobil Gesellschaft mbH in Berlin. Technical solutions similar to those used in Mercedes engines were implemented. The engine was built in small numbers. It was used in the DFW C.Vc and Fokker D.VII aircraft. Archive:
