An engine designed at the Walter works as a development version of the successful Walter Minor engine. With the increase of weight by only 2 kg, compared to the Minor, the power output was increased by 30 hp. The M-332 was fitted with an electric engine driven supercharger. The engine was used in the Aero Ae‑145, Orličan L‑40 Meta Sokol and the Bücker T‑131PA Jungmann aircraft.
