An engine designed at the Argus Motoren Gesellschaft company in 1932. It was a very successful design. Series production began in 1934, ca 10,000 engines were built by 1939.

The As-10 was used in the Fieseler Fi 156 Storch, Arado Ar 66, Focke-Wulf Fw 58 Weihe and Messerschmitt Bf 108 Taifun aircraft.
